Data retention policy
ScoutAPM retains data (metrics and transaction traces) for 30 days. This metric retention allows customers to see changes to their application over a period of time. After 30 days, this data is permanently deleted and we can delete data at shorter intervals upon customer request. After cancellation, customer account information is retained for historical purposes, however we honor any customer requests to receive copies of their data or to delete from our servers. We use SSL/TLS encryption on all our websites and microservices in order to maintain the highest security and data protection standards. Sensitive Data such as connection credentials is encrypted anytime it is “at rest” in the ScoutAPM platform using industry standard encryption. In addition, we regularly verify our security certificates and encryption algorithms to keep customers data safe.

We have a method of purging the data from all of our servers, and then we remove them from our 3rd party emailing software such as delighted, mailchimp, and autopilot.
